When I choose
"Pick New Category" when posting an ad nothing comes up, why does
this happen?
ForSaleForRent.com uses the some of the latest feature
for pop-up boxes to make the site a lot easier to use. Most pop-up software
on the market prevent these boxes from appearing on your screen. You may configure
most pop-up software to allow pop-ups from certain sites that you are browsing
such as ours. An example would be the google tool-bar that has a pop-up blocker
built in. These softwares will prevent most features from working properly
on our site, viewing pictures in an ad, the help icons for certain fields
etc.
I am unable to
view my own ad after posting it. Why?
Most times you should be able to view your ad once you
post it by clicking on the view ad link (which is shown after you post). Sometimes
if you navigate to the category you posted to you may not be able to see the
ad you just posted. This can happen if your computer shows you an older copy
of the page. To correct the problem, simply click the reload/refresh button
on your browser or clear your browsers cache file. The topic How to clear
your cache offers more detailed instructions.
Norton Anti-Virus
software contains an ad or script blocking feature which when enabled prevents
FSFR users from viewing ads posted as well as certain parts of the site. This
feature can be disabled using the following instructions:
1. Open Norton
System Works application
2. In the top task bar, click Options.
3. Click Norton Anti-Virus.
4. Under the System heading on the left hand side, select Script Blocking, make
changes as necessary.
